Mary Way began her career as a television producer. Her deep love of supporting local theater moved her to support multiple theater companies and she is currently chair of the Southwest Shakespeare Company. Mary's love of arts extends to the visual and she is an expert on the subject of Japanese contemporary prints (Hanga)--she and Bill have an extensive collection. In Tokyo, Mary was the director of the largest Japanese print exhibition in the world and was chair of the College Women's Association of Japan Scholarship Foundation. In England, Mary worked in the education department of the Royal Academy of Arts and was on the development board of the London City Ballet. She has also served on the National Endowment of the Arts, American Masterpiece panel, and is managing director of the Marni Nixon International Vocal Competition. Together with Bill she serves on the advisory board for the Consolari and is a founding ambassador of Claremont-Lincoln University.
