Biography:

Jeff has 20 years of experience in public accounting, and has served as Tanner's managing partner since 2010. Prior to joining Tanner in 2005 he worked with PwC for 12 years. Tanner has been named a "Best of the Best" firm by Inside Public Accounting for 4 consecutive years and was Best of State in Utah in 2010 and 2014. In addition to his responsibilities as managing partner, Jeff serves as a tax partner and has extensive tax compliance and consulting experience with various technology, financial, software, retail, distribution, manufacturing, life sciences, and telecommunications companies. Jeff consults with domestic companies, many with international operations, to comply with all tax reporting requirements, calculate deferred taxes and minimize federal and state income tax. He has also been heavily involved with the tax structuring of mergers and acquisitions as well as stock option planning. He is a graduate of Brigham Young University, was an adjunct professor at the University of Utah, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Utah Association of Certified Public Accountants. He also serves on PKF North America's Tax Committee and on the Advisory Board for Inside Public Accounting.
