Biography:

Roy E. Barraclough is a retiree from Health Care Administration. He holds a Masters of International Administration degree from BYU and a Masters of Health Care Administration degree and a Credential of Advanced Studies in Health Care from the University of Minnesota. Roy is a Fellow of the American College of Health Care Executives. He has served as Chairman of the Board of the Rural Health Association of Utah as well as a member of the hospital boards of the Texas, Wyoming, and Nevada. He was the Governor’s appointee to the Utah State Emergency Services Council and most recently served as Chair of Utah State University’s Community Advisory Board.

Roy has served as Administrator of hospitals throughout the western United States and has successfully completed assignments at both the regional and corporate levels. He also has experience in health facilities construction, having served as project manager on five previous de novo and/or replacement hospital projects. His final construction project was managing the replacement of the 50+ year old hospital in Moab, Utah with the new 50-bed Moab Regional Hospital and the attached 36-bed Canyonlands Care Center. Roy has consulted in all aspects of collective impact and taught courses as an adjunct faculty member at multiple colleges as a recognized health care lecturer.

Roy is married to the former Karen Joy Zaugg, and they are the proud parents of four children, and grandparents to 17 grandchildren. His interests include music performance (piano and organ), golfing, boating, camping, and international travel.
