Kent Colton is president of the Washington DC Temple. He was the president of the Colton Housing Group and senior fellow of the Harvard Joint Center for Housing Studies. He served as president of the Florida Tampa Mission from 2007 to 2010. He has served as executive vice president and CEO of the National Association of Home Builders; executive vice president of policy, planning, and economic research with Freddie Mac; and as a senior scholar in housing studies at Harvard University. Kent earned his bachelor’s degree from Utah State University, his MPA from Syracuse University, and his PhD in urban studies from MIT. Kent and Kathryn have five children.
