Eric Teel is the Administrative Dean and Steven V. White Fellow in the Brigham Young University Marriott School of Business. He first joined BYU Marriott in 2015 as the College Controller, later serving as Assistant Dean of Finance and Administration until his appointment as Administrative Dean in 2019.
Prior to BYU, Eric worked in public accounting, as controller for a startup software company, and for more than a decade as CFO and operations manager in the engineering and manufacturing industries. Through these experiences he developed an expertise and deep interest in human capital and organizational development, technology implementation, operational efficiency and process improvement, and management of cross-functional teams.
Eric is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Management Accountant and holds both Bachelor of Accounting and Master of Accountancy degrees from Brigham Young University. He has enjoyed volunteering with the Utah Association of CPA’s Financial Literacy Task Force and teaching university courses in managerial accounting and budgeting and forecasting as an adjunct faculty member.
