Ben Iverson is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the Marriott School of Business at Brigham Young University. He studies corporate finance, with a particular emphasis on financial distress, restructuring, and bankruptcy. His recent work has focused on how bankruptcy systems affect the allocation of assets in the economy. His research interests also include financial intermediaries, banking, and household financial decision making.

Ben taught at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University from 2013 until 2017. He received his Ph.D. in Business Economics in 2013 from Harvard University. Prior to graduate study, he worked as an assistant economist in the research group at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
