Biography

I completed my PhD at Clemson University in 2010 in the department of Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Management. I taught as an adjunct faculty member between 2010 and 2015 at Southern Illinois University, BYU, Southwestern College, and SUNY College at Brockport. I was an Assistant Professor at the College at Brockport from 2015 to 2019 in the department of Recreation and Leisure Studies. I joined the faculty at BYU as an Assistant Professor in the department of Experience Design and Management in June of 2019.

Group Affiliations

  • 261 Fearless — 261 Fearless is a global non-profit organization founded by pioneer runner Kathrine Switzer. They use running as a vehicle to empower and unite women through the creation of local running clubs, education programs, communication platforms and social running events. The goal of 261 Fearless is to create a global community for women runners of all abilities to support, encourage, and inspire each other towards a positive sense of self and fearlessness. — 2018
