BYU Marriott Awards Luncheon 2019
BYU Marriott hosts a luncheon to present the annual faculty and staff awards. Faculty can be awarded for teaching excellence, scholarly excellence, and citizenship. Nominated staff will receive the Excellence Award and the N. Eldon Tanner Award. Retiring faculty and staff will also be honored. The program and luncheon will be held from 11:30am - 1:00pm.
The qualifications for each award include the following:
2018-2019 Outstanding Faculty Award
The Outstanding Faculty Award given to one faculty member each year. This award honors faculty who have distinguished themselves through outstanding professional contributors at Brigham Young University, emphasizing accomplishments in the last three to five years. The basic criterion for selection is excellence of contribution in one or more of the following areas: professional service, publication, teaching, research, and administration.
2018-2019 N. Eldon Tanner Award
The N. Eldon Tanner Award recognizes BYU Marriott staff and administrators who have distinguished themselves through the following areas: integrity, leadership, humble service, and regard for resources.
Teaching Excellence Award
The BYU Marriott Teaching Excellence Award recognizes the outstanding teaching efforts of faculty.
Scholarly Excellence Award
The BYU Marriott Scholarly Excellence Award recognizes and encourages outstanding research and publication by faculty.
Citizenship Award
The BYU Marriott Citizenship Award recognizes the commitment of faculty in giving administrative and developmental service to students, faculty, and programs – furthering the school’s mission.
Excellence Award
The BYU Marriott Excellence Award recognizes staff/administrative personnel who demonstrate excellence in management, professionalism, character, and initiative to improve.
