BYU Professor Featured in BusinessWeek Online Article

PROVO, Utah — Oct 11, 2006 — Texas transplant and BYU business management professor Andrew Holmes was recently profiled by BusinessWeek Online as students’ favorite professor at the Marriott School of Management.

The article is one in an ongoing series by BusinessWeek Online highlighting business professors who rate exceptionally well with students. Holmes’ recognition is based on a survey of more than 400 Marriott School undergraduates, according to the article. Students cited his enthusiastic nature and real-world application to class curriculum as characteristics that set him apart.

“My first reaction was that they had gotten the wrong guy,” Holmes said after first seeing the article. “It’s obviously very flattering. I don’t know that I have any secret to my teaching but if I do, it’s the fact that I just love BYU students. It’s gratifying to see that the care I put into my classes shows up in the students’ response.”
