McQueen to Lead MBA Program

Grant McQueen named MBA director, Daniel Snow tabbed associate director

PROVO, Utah – Aug 08, 2016 – Marriott School of Management dean Lee Perry has announced Grant McQueen as the new MBA director and Daniel Snow as the MBA associate director effective August 1.

“Both of these faculty have made significant contributions to the MBA program in terms of teaching, curriculum development and student engagement,” Perry says. “We look forward to their leadership in these new roles.”

The William Edwards Professor of Finance, McQueen has taught finance at Brigham Young University since 1988 and has been awarded the Marriott School’s Teaching Excellence and Outstanding Faculty awards. McQueen earned his BA in economics and an MBA from BYU before earning a PhD in finance from the University of Washington.

Snow, an associate professor of global supply chain management, joined the Marriott School in 2010 after previously serving on the faculty of the Harvard Business School from 2004–10. He holds a BA in international relations and an MBA from BYU and a PhD from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.

John Bingham, who served as the MBA director for the past three years, will return to his faculty position in the department of organizational leadership and strategy. During his tenure as director Bingham guided the program to record student application and placement numbers.

“We are grateful for John’s contribution as MBA director,” Perry says. “During his service the program has continued to improve in terms of recruiting qualified students, engaging with alumni and providing quality curricular experiences. He will continue to do great work in the organizational behavior field.”

The Marriott School is located at Brigham Young University, the largest privately owned, church-sponsored university in the United States. The school has nationally recognized programs in accounting, business management, entrepreneurship, finance, information systems and public management. The school’s mission is to prepare men and women of faith, character and professional ability for positions of leadership throughout the world. Approximately 3,300 students are enrolled in the Marriott School’s graduate and undergraduate programs.
