Agle Named IABS President

PROVO, Utah – Jul 28, 2017 – Brad Agle, George W. Romney​ Endowed Professor, has been installed as the president of the International Association for Business and Society at the group's annual meeting held in Amsterdam in June.

Agle’s presidential term is the fourth year of a five-year leadership track he was elected to by the IABS membership in 2014. He has previously served as assistant conference chair, conference chair, and president-elect; following the association's annual meeting in Hong Kong next year, he will serve as past president. IABS is an academic association comprised of approximately three hundred professors from around the world who do research on the intersection between the institution of business and the other institutions of society.

A member of the Romney Institute of Public Management faculty since 2009, Agle is an active researcher in business ethics, stakeholder management, CEO leadership, and religious influences on business. His work has been featured in various media outlets including the Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, USA Today, and CNN, and he has been a guest on multiple CNBC programs. Agle also serves as a fellow in the BYU Wheatley Institution and as chair of the biannual Teaching Ethics in Universities conference.

The Marriott School of Business is located at Brigham Young University, the largest privately owned, church-sponsored university in the United States. The school has nationally recognized programs in accounting, business management, entrepreneurship, finance, information systems and public management. The school’s mission is to prepare men and women of faith, character and professional ability for positions of leadership throughout the world.
