Biography:

John Visser is the Vice President of Global Logistics for dōTERRA International where he is responsible for fulfillment center operations, transportation from raw material sourcing to customer delivery, as well as international trade compliance and establishing operations in new markets.

Previously, he worked for Walmart for almost 19 years. His last role was Vice President of International Fresh Food Manufacturing where he was responsible for leading a team that supported and developed Walmart’s manufacturing facilities across the world through strategic guidance, operational expertise and talent development.

Prior to that, he was the Vice President of International Transportation responsible for leading teams that provided strategic direction, talent development, process efficiency expertise and cost reduction support to Walmart’s international markets.

He was also the Vice President for Supply Chain in Walmart Central America responsible for the logistics operations for the 5 markets in that region. Prior, he served as a Senior Director in various roles to include Global Food Sourcing responsible for, among other responsibilities, standing up vertical integration operations and managing fruit sourcing.

John has worked in various logistics and sourcing roles in the US and abroad. He completed expat assignments in Tokyo, Japan and Shenzhen, China and has worked extensively in Latin America.

Prior to joining Walmart, John worked for a 3rd party logistics services provider where his last role was the National Account Manager for his company’s primary customer, Walmart, Inc. He was also previously the manager of their Laredo / El Paso offices responsible for distribution, transportation and import services in and out of Mexico.

John currently serves on the Global Supply Chain Advisory Board for Brigham Young University (BYU). He has also been actively involved in youth development in scouting and sports’ roles ranging from leading and coaching to serving as club president and board member. John received his Bachelor of Arts from BYU in Spanish Translation and his MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
