Biography:
Chris Cooper spent the better part of two decades in the software and tech industry in a variety of operational capacities including sales management, strategic alliances, corporate development and also ran both on and off-shore development organizations. Alongside Blake Modersitzki, Chris was a part of a corporate venture practice at Novell, which led to a second career as an entrepreneur building out what today is Pelion Venture Partners – an early-stage enterprise software VC fund. Pelion is currently investing out of its 6th fund and has $1 Billion under management. Chris’ wife Holly is a type 1 diabetic and kidney transplant recipient who does crazy things like marathon running and even the occasional triathlon, which, needless to say, is pretty amazing. Chris is in a state of persistent awe around her tenacity and determination. Luckily for him, its people like this that are drawn to the world of company building and entrepreneurship and I can’t imagine doing anything else.
