Biography:

Abigail Morrison is a proud Utah native who keeps one foot planted on home soil and the other foot wherever curiosity leads. With over fifty stamps in her passport, she has no plans to stop seeing the world any time soon. Always interested in people and stories, Abigail first earned a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Utah State University. She later graduated with an MPA from BYU in 2017. During her time at BYU, she served on the board for the Grantwell Program.

Prior to her current role, Abigail worked in higher education and local government. After working in local government, she discovered she missed working with university students and was excited by the opportunity to join the BYU Title IX team in 2021, where she currently manages education, prevention, and outreach. In her capacity as a Deputy Title IX Coordinator where there is never a “typical” day, her calendar might include meeting with student clubs, presenting to a group of 200 students about consent, and meeting one on one with students who have experienced sexual misconduct. She finds the work deeply rewarding and is energized by continuously working to improve systems and processes that serve people. Abigail feels incredibly blessed to be a part of the BYU MPA community that values putting people first and committing to working together to find imperfect solutions in a complex world.

When she’s not on campus she can be found plotting the next trip, working in her garden, and either paddle boarding or cross-country skiing depending on the season (she’ll let you guess which season she prefers).
