Biography:

Andy Bean currently serves as a Labor and Employee Relations Specialist for the Social Security Administration (SSA), and has been with them since 2009. He has been working in Human Resources for the last seven years, but has had a wide variety of responsibilities with the Social Security Administration. He started with SSA as a participant in the Presidential Management Fellowship program and has worked in management, facilities, training, and finance. In his current role he has many responsibilities including providing guidance relating to employee relations, negotiating with the union, conducting background investigations, representing the agency regarding unemployment claims, and training new managers. Prior to working at SSA, Andy worked as a recruiter for Volt Services Group.

Andy graduated from Brigham Young University’s Romney Institute of Public Management with a Master of Public Administration degree in 2009. Andy also received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Brigham Young University in 2005.

Andy was born in Seattle, Washington and grew up nearby in Bothell, Washington. He loves everything Pacific Northwest. He currently lives in Kaysville, Utah with his wife Jessica, and his six boys, Charlie, Sam, Jake, Owen, Wes, and Russ. His six boys keep him busy and most of his time is spent taking them to their activities and events. He loves spending time with his family.
