Biography:

Barbara Bunker Brower grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada, and Gooding, Idaho. She graduated from BYU with a BS in Economics in 1982. After church missionary service in Ecuador Quito Mission, she returned to BYU and completed an MPA degree in 1986.

Barbara began her career as an Intern with the State of Utah Legislative Fiscal Office. Later, she worked for the City of Orem as a budget analyst before moving to the City of Brea and accepting the job of Budget Manager. Barbara married David Brower in 1989. She retired from her public administration career shortly after her marriage and devoted her time to raising their three daughters and serving others.

Since retiring, Barbara has served in many callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had many community service positions. Because of her interest in politics, she has served as an election judge and a precinct chair. She has served on PTA Boards, in school classrooms, and on School Community Councils. She currently serves as a Family History consultant at a FamilySearch Center and as an Ordinance Worker in the Mount Timpanogos Temple. She and her husband are empty nesters and live in Alpine, Utah.
