Biography:

Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Sue was the third child in a family of eight children. While in Michigan, Sue enjoyed multiple sports throughout high school, including basketball and volleyball, and participated in numerous Student Council activities. After attending BYU for college and graduating with a BS in Finance from BYU, Sue and her husband Ron moved to Boston, MA, where they added 7 children to their family. Sue was involved locally with her children’s schools as the PTA President, classroom volunteer, and organizer of elementary school events, along with coaching some of her kids’ teams.

Sue and Ron moved to Utah in 2004, as their oldest began BYU as a freshman and their youngest started kindergarten. Sue volunteered at her children’s school, The Waterford School in Sandy, and served as the Parent Advisory Committee President for 3 years. In 2020, Sue decided to go back to school and chose to enroll in the Romney Institute at BYU, earning her MPA in 2023. Since graduation, Sue has begun working with various nonprofits and local city officials and is excited to participate in this next stage of life.

Sue is a board member for the BYU National Advisory Council, President's Leadership Council, BYU Athletic Director's Circle, Ronald McDonald House Charities, and the Alpine City Foundation Non-Profit Board.
