Short URLS (preferred)
For most uses, a short URL can be used instead of a subdomain. In fact, many short URLs are already available for BYU Marriott websites. For example, ballard.byu.edu/abc123 will redirect to marriott.byu.edu/ballard/abc123 without any special configuration. Custom short URLs can be requested through the Website Support department on the IT Support page.
BYU Subdomains
BYU subdomains are only available for the following purposes:
- Large conference and event websites
- Approved department websites
