Biography:

David Hall is a strategic merchandising and marketing executive who combines senior retail and consumer packaged goods experience. Throughout his career, he brings a record of success, growing established businesses and creating new, innovative business segments that gain market share and improve profitability.

As Walmart’s Divisional Merchandising Manager of Commercial Bakery & Deli, he managed the P&L of a $10 billion business. Under his leadership, he grew sales 61% and expanded market share. He established a culture of innovation, resulting in new product launches of $450 million in 2016 alone. He also created and launched a new consumer brand that now exceeds $2 billion in sales.

David was awarded Walmart’s “DMM of the Year” for his business performance, leadership, and strategic vision, while achieving best-in-company associate engagement scores of 100% for four straight years.

Previously, David led the turnaround of the TCBY Yogurt business at Mrs. Fields Famous Brands, through a comprehensive revitalization of the brand, including new store design, messaging, and reformulated product.

At Farmland National Beef, a multinational beef company, he transitioned its commodity products into high-margin, high-growth branded businesses.

At Kraft Foods, he grew the sales and profitability of older, established businesses, utilizing consumer insights to launch award-winning new products and promotions.

David has earned “New Product of the Year” awards at three different companies.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Finance from Brigham Young University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Harvard Business School.

He is an Eagle Scout and remains active in the Boy Scouts of America, where he helps youth learn and gain leadership experience. He lives in Bentonville, Arkansas, with his wife, Jane, and their four children – Matthew, Andrew, Nathan, and Elizabeth.
