Biography:

Doug Bates is the founder and board member of Clearwater Analytics. Prior to founding Clearwater Analytics in 2003, Doug co-founded Clearwater Advisors in 2001, an institutional fixed-income investment advisor, and he was a partner at Sawtooth Investment Management starting in 1998. Prior to Sawtooth, Doug had a sixteen-year career with Goldman Sachs in institutional fixed-income and derivative sales management, including establishing sales operations on the west coast. Doug earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting and his MBA from BYU. Doug and Brooke have three children.
