Petersen Rejoins Rollins Center
PROVO, Utah – May 24, 2017 – Marriott School of Management dean Lee Perry recently announced Scott Petersen as the new executive director of the Rollins Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology. Petersen returns to the position after previously serving as executive director from 2010 to 2015.
“We are excited to have Scott back,” Perry says. “Scott gave unparalleled service to the Rollins Center and helped propel the BYU Marriott School’s undergraduate entrepreneurship program to its initial No. 2 national ranking in 2015.”
In his time away from BYU, Petersen founded Omadi Mobile Management, a cloud-based web platform for workforce management. Petersen also serves on several business and private foundation boards, including the board of Mentors International, an international microlending organization that helps fight poverty through entrepreneurship.
"I am delighted to resume my role in leading the Rollins Center,” Petersen says. “We have a seasoned team of professors, entrepreneurial mentors, and staff who are positioned to take the Rollins Center to a whole new level."
Petersen succeeds Steven Fox, who is leaving to serve as president of the Tahiti Papeete Mission.
In addition to Petersen's appointment, Jeff Brown has been named the Rollins Center associate director of operations. Formerly the assistant director, Brown organizes the Rollins Center's many competitions and events, among other responsibilities.
