For over three decades, the BYU Hunger Banquet has been a longstanding tradition marking the end of BYU's Care Week. This experience is designed to help attendees understand global inequality through an enriching evening featuring live entertainment, speakers, and dinner. At 7:00 p.m. the dinner and program will follow in the Wilkinson Center Garden Court. At the dinner, guests will be randomly assigned social classes, indulge in income-level meals, and assume immersive roles throughout the evening. Profits, alongside additional donations, will be donated to the Food and Care Coalition. This event is put on by the Students for International Development Club (SID), BYU Office of Sustainability, and the Ballard Center for Social Impact. Tickets can be purchased online or at the door before the event starts. All proceeds will be donated.
This is a free event for admitted BYU Marriott students. It will be a fun night of dancing with a live DJ, refreshments, and more! Dress attire is Sunday Dress/Formal.
